WHERE CAN I BUY A STÅLHÄSTEN BICYCLE?

To be able to offer the most affordable bike possible you can only buy our bikes here at stalhasten.com or in our store in Stockholm, Sweden.

If you live outside of the EU, please send an email to hej@stalhasten.se with information about the model and accessories you want and your delivery address for a custom quote.

How are the bikes delivered?

We cooperate with Bring and if you buy a bike it will come all the way home to the door. In many cities it is also possible to have it delivered during the evening.
The bike is delivered in a carton that is about 145x70x20 cm large and weighs about 18 kg. Varies slightly between models. Shipping cost is 9 EUR for bicycles. Shipping cost for accessories varies between 5-7 EUR depending on size/wight. For the shipping company to contact you regardin delivery you must provide a valid mobile phone number when you place your order.

What payment options are there?

For all countries we accept payment via VISA and MasterCard and for some regions (i.e. Denmark, Germany, Netherlands) we can provide pyament via invoice togheter with our partner Klarna. Soon we will be able to offer payment via bank transfer or invoice. And the possibility of partial payment. When you place your order the order value will be reserved on you VISA or MasterCard until the bike is shipped.

HOW DOES IT WORK WITH GUARANTEES, RETURN POLICY AND COMPLAINTS?

All our bikes have 1 year warranty. You always have the right to return the bike within 14 days if you change your mind for any reason. I you return the bike within your 14 days of trial you will get all you money back for the bicycle but not the shipping cost. When returning a bicycle it’s important that the bicylce is returned in original condition and in original packaging. Keep in mind that return shipping may be more expensive than our shipping price. Please also refer to our

for details on the status of a bike return. In case of complaints Stålhästen will follow swedish Allmänna reklamationsnämndens recommendations. Contact us at hej@stalhasten.seif you want to get in contact with us.

HOW DO I PUMP MY Stålhästen?

Our classic models have Car valve and model Sport & Effekt has racer-/presta valve. Most modern pumps have nozzles for these valves.

CAN I MOUNT A CHILD SEAT ON A STÅLHÄSTEN BICYCLE?

Yes, sure! We recommend that you use child seats that are attached to the bike frame. These are suitable for all our bikes except the electric bikes (there is a cable channel there). For our electric bikes we recommend a child seat for rear carriers. For model Prima E-bike we have custom holes made for the model Hamax Caress which is one of the market’s best child seats.

HOW DO I ASSEMBLE MY STÅLHÄSTEN?

Stålhästen is delivered 90% pre assembled. It’s only the simpler parts that you need to assemble yourself: pedals, handlebar, front tire, and saddle. All you need is a star screwdriver, an adjustable spanner and Allen keys. All you need is a star screwdriver, an adjustable spanner and allan keys. The record in our workshop is 4 min and 47 seconds, but then it is unboxed and all the packaging removed.

WHERE DO I FIND MY FRAME NUMBER

Unfortunately sometimes bikes get stolen. Therefore it is good thing to note the unique frame number that is on the frame of your Stålhästen. This will make it easier to identify your bike if it gets found. The number is stamped underneath the Stålhästen emblem on the front of your bike or under the shaft casing. Please note that we do not store your frame number, which is why it’s important that you take note of it when you receive your bike.

Is insurance included?

Yes! When you buy a bike at stålhästen.se, excess insurance is included automatically. The insurance is valid for 2 months from the time of purchase and covers the excess that your home insurance deducts in the event that the bike is stolen. As the free period draws to a close, you’ll receive an extension offer in your mailbox. It says the information you need to extend your insurance if desired. If you choose not to do anything, the insurance will expire.
